    As someone new to Charlotte and a love of sushi...what better time to comb the city looking for sushi on INTERNATIONAL SUSHI DAY!!!

    I asked around and someone recommended I come and here and they were spot on.

    I walked into a warm welcome and an invitation to sit right in front of the chef since I was by myself. I was not disappointed, at the chef picked my dishes for me based on a few questions. His selections were sp good that I asked for another roll to go.

    Went here on a Friday night with my sister and the kids.  Typical Japanese restaurant that cooks in front you.  I found the food to be a bit bland from what I'm used to having.  Chicken was missing season but the shrimp was the best.  Rice and plenty noodles to take home.  The soup was a bit salty in the beginning.  As I said I've had a lot better tasting Japanese steakhouse food.  That's the disadvantage of moving around and actually living in Japan and other countries... I like what I like

    Not to mention, they had a sign on the door as if they were profiling.  No hoodies, pull your pants up... seemed a bit weird to me to put that on the door of a restaurant versus telling the people who may come like that it's an issue.  That's just a weird request of a business

    They have 50% off sushi in Wednesdays and Thursdays, so I decided to get takeout on my way home on a Wednesday....And THAT is where I went wrong! The spicy tuna roll was basically a log of tuna inside and spicy mayo on top of the roll. ... The Arizona roll didn't seem to have a protein inside... The seaweed salad was oily... But the dragon roll was decent (thus the 2 stars!) ...

    This location is not, I repeat, this location is not owned by the same people as the one in Pineville. The quality is not the same, in a bad way. And they do not allow you to order your veggies independently for some reason. I was told that if I want no mushrooms I would have to pick through the veggies myself to take them out. If the veggies are cooked fresh on the grill, why wouldn't I be able to only order zucchini and onion? I've seen so many pictures online where people only have zucchini and onion so what was the problem today???
